PickMyHomeInsurance is designed to work without collecting personal information. You can browse insurer comparisons and rate data without creating an account or entering your name, email, address, or phone number.
/go/…) so we can count which official insurer homepages are visited. We store only day-bucketed totals: insurer slug, the path on our site you came from (if same-site), language (en/es from that path), a coarse device class (mobile/desktop/tablet/bot/internal_test), a count, and allowlisted campaign tokens from utm_source / utm_medium / utm_campaign when present. Arbitrary UTM values are discarded. The first page of a visit may keep a short first-touch category in your browser’s sessionStorage (for example search / social / referring site / direct, a normalized hostname such as google, and whether a paid-click identifier was present — never the identifier itself) so a later insurer hop can be counted with that landing context; your browser clears it when you close the tab. We do not store IP addresses, full browser user-agents, full referrer URLs, or unique visitor IDs for these counters. A first-party cookie (pmi_internal) may be set only when an operator arms internal QA mode with a secret token; that cookie marks owner/test hops so they are excluded from public product-interest totals. Ordinary visitors never receive it. If the counter fails, the redirect still works. These hops are informational — we do not quote or bind policies, and we are not paid for these clicks unless a later written partner agreement says otherwise.Ordinary visitors: this site sets no first-party cookies of its own for browsing. A short-lived sessionStorage entry may hold a first-touch category for the current tab only; your browser clears it when you close the tab. Operator QA only: a first-party pmi_internal cookie may be set after a secret token is presented, solely to exclude internal test hops from public click totals. Ordinary visitors never receive it. Google’s ad tags, described under Advertising cookies, are third-party and may set their own cookies.
This site displays ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites, and to measure ad performance. This is standard third-party ad-serving technology, not something PickMyHomeInsurance builds or controls directly.
You can see and adjust how Google personalizes ads for you at Google Ads Settings. You can opt out of many third-party advertising networks' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info or networkadvertising.org.
Listings may link to insurers' own websites and to documents they host. Once you leave PickMyHomeInsurance, those sites' privacy policies apply — including any quote or application forms where you provide personal information directly to an insurer. We never see what you submit there.
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
If our practices change, this page changes first, with a new effective date.
